Situated in the Elan Valley - Mid Wales, we really do have one of the most beautiful parts of the country right on our doorstep. We take different routes through the hills, valleys, rivers and woodlands each day. We explore parts of the area that would be difficult to get to on foot, giving you the opportunity to experience the views, wildlife and tranquillity that the Elan Valley has to offer on horseback. We take out all levels of riding ability from novice to advanced riders.
All our horses are homebred, backed and schooled by us. Our herd ranges from a wide variety of horses in every size, shape and colour so we can always find a horse or pony that suits you. The majority of our horses are Gypsy Vanner cobs who are known for their loving, kind and patient nature. We have a team of qualified, knowledgeable guides who are always willing and happy to help with any questions or problems you may have. This will be our 55th year in the trekking business and we have been approved and recommended by the BHS since 1972. The business was established in 1966 by the late Elwyn Collard and is now run by his Granddaughter, Miss Alice Collard who shares the same love for horses that he once did. We run on a seasonal basis, our season starts in May and ends in mid-September. However, the exact start and finishing dates do depend on the weather and ground conditions. Our weight limit is 14.5 stone and our age limit is 6 years old.
