    Ted Taylor Travel Fund

    A Travel Fund for young people aged 16 to 22

    Following the kind bequest of the late Ted Taylor of Cwmdauddwr, Rhayader 2000 Ltd. are able to offer a limited number of travel opportunities to young people who live in Rhayader and Cwmdauddwr.

    Funding is available for educational foreign travel to young people aged between 16 and 22 on the date of travel. To qualify you must live within the area outlined on the map. A detailed map is available below.

    Following the relaxation of Covid travel restrictions Rhayader 2000 are pleased to announce an increase in the age range to 16 to 23 until July 2023 this will ensure that nobody misses out on the opportunity of a travel grant.

    Having consulted with young people from the area of benefit Rhayader 2000 has decided to offer independent travel bursaries.

    Primarily aimed at 18 to 22 year olds but also available to 16 to 18 year olds with parental consent you can apply for up to £500 towards the cost of educational travel abroad. There are a few criteria which are listed on the application form but we have kept these to the minimum. You can travel on your own, with a friend or in a small group but funding is not available towards family holidays or trips organised by a school, universities, college or other similar institutions.
