Summer is the perfect time to see the wide range of wonderful wildflowers that thrive at Gilfach Nature Reserve. Come along and join Bronwen Jenkins, one of our Gilfach Rangers, as she gives us a tour of some of the best wildflower spots that Gilfach has to offer.

Meeting at Pont Marteg car park, we will join Bronwen for a stroll through part of the nature reserve to discover what amazing wildflowers Gilfach has to offer and learn some basic ways of identifying them. The walk will take approximately two hours to complete.

Please make sure to wear sturdy boots as some of the terrain we will be walking on is uneven and uphill. Please also be aware that Gilfach has a bit of it's own microclimate! So please bring appropriate clothing (waterproof jacket, jumper, sun hat) for Wales in July!

Dogs are welcome on site at Gilfach, but dogs must be kept on a lead at the reserve as we do have grazing livestock in some areas. Please be aware that the walk may pass through fields that contain cattle and therefore may not be suitable for some dogs.

Spaces for this walk will be limited to 12 people, please book in advance to guarantee a spot. Some spaces may be available on the day if all spots have not been filled, please contact in advance to register interest if this is the case.

This event is free, but donations are always welcome!
