A Powys Ramblers Event. Join Graham as he leads you on a spectacular and energetic 11-mile walk in the hills of the Elan Valley. This is primarily a moorland walk crossing between Cefn Rhydoldog and Crugyn Ci from the Penbont car-park to the mountain road and Mein-serth.
After crossing the Elan the walk climbs steeply before opening out onto moorland and passing a local burial site. After visiting the trig point the route drops down into the head of the Nant Gwynllyn Valley with its waterfalls and lake. Following a visit to Mein-serth the walk returns to a road, fords a stream and then back to the moor via the Roman camp. After passing Esgair Perfedd the scenic path drops down to Craig Goch reservoir and returns to the start along the hillside above Penygarreg. Meet at Penbont Car Park SN915674.
