Dyffryn Farm is a beautiful characterful 17th Century Farmhouse, located in the Upper Wye Valley in the Cambrian Mountains, an area of outstanding natural beauty offering spectacular views. The farmhouse is a traditional Welsh longhouse and over the years has seen some amazing transformations. Parts of the Farmhouse have been converted into separate cottages of which ‘The Stable’ has been created to offer guest accommodation.
Dyffryn is not only a place to visit during the summer months – there’s plenty to do outdoor all year around. The turning seasons are a true delight. In spring flowers bloom and the fields fill with newborn lambs. In autumn the hills are ablaze with purple, orange and red as bracken and heather turn – perfect for autumnal walks and cycles. In winter relax in front of a fire in our cozy cottage after a winter walk!
Close to the market town of Rhayader and the Elan Valley, ‘The Lakeland of Wales’, and to the Victorian Spa town of Llandrindod Wells, a wide range of activities are on offer including walking, mountain biking, horse trekking, bird watching, fishing and golfing. Natural wildlife is in abundance in the area which is also famous for Red Kites, fed daily at Gigrin Farm.
The Stable is a beautifully converted 1-bed self-catering cottage with a small south east facing garden/patio. Inside you will find a charming stone walled cottage with a wood burning stove and a characterful bedroom with high ceiling and exposed original beams.
