Close to the market town of Rhayader and the Elan Valley, ‘The Lakeland of Wales’, and to the Victorian Spa town of Llandrindod Wells, a wide range of activities are on offer including walking, mountain biking, horse trekking, bird watching, fishing and golfing. Natural wildlife is in abundance in the area which is also famous for Red Kites, fed daily at Gigrin Farm.

It is an ideal base from which to explore this unspoilt area of 'Wild Wales' with its wonderful hill-walking, cycling, bird watching and fishing. It is also a haven where guests can unwind, reflect and appreciate the details of turning seasons. Delight in the amazing variety of birds and other wildlife on the farm. The place, which has the peace of a long occupied homestead, is yours to enjoy.

On the farm you will find friendly farm animals, wild places to explore, fantastic walks, excellent birdwatching, badger watching from the treehouse hide, lambing live in the spring and the river Wye to paddle or swim. Within 15 minutes there are many attractions around Rhayader and the Elan Valley or travel a bit further for the coast or castles and famous towns like Hay on Wye.

Rhayader has lots of cafés, traditional pubs and restaurants as well as a good range of small shops.
