A 4 mile guided walk to learn about the area, including the remains of Nant y Gro Dam which was used for tests before the WW2 Dambusters Raid.

There is a steep climb of 40 metres up the steps to the top of the dam and then a very steep 140 metre climb. Meet at the Visitor Centre at 2pm, back about 5pm.

Challenge yourself and climb to Gilfach's further boundaries with Rob Podmore - only for intrepid explorers who are fit enough to scramble up and down the steep valley extremes! Worldwide Knit in Public Day is about showing the general public that knitting can be a community activity in a very distinct way. Knitters of all ages and abilities are invited to join in. Bring along your current knitting/crochet projects, any unfinished or abandoned projects you need help with and, if possible, spare wool and needles/hooks to help a novice get started. We have permission from The Lamb, the Cornhill and the Elan Hotel to sit outside their premises and to retreat inside if it rains. Extra folding chairs will be useful as well as cushions and blankets if it's cold. End at 3pm
