We will explore one of the finest relict ancient woodlands in Britain and examine its unique wildlife.

We will be celebrating International Dawn Chorus day with this very early morning walk at Gilfach from the Pont Marteg Welcome Gateway. We should hear Redstarts, Pied flycatcher, Wood warbler, Tree pipit and of course Gilfach's famous Cuckoos. The event will follow a course of just under 2 miles in length, taking in a range of habitats. Be prepared for some walking on rough paths.
